Affordable Housing in Grand Junction and Colorado
There is a marked difference between ‘affordable housing’ and garden variety renatal vacancies. Depending on the median income and employment of a given community, that difference takes on a significance woth noting.

Natural gas energy resources in the western United States
Northwest Colorado has some of the largest and most dependable natural gas resources in the United States. Most of the eastern US natural gas fields start fast on their yields, and then drop off rapidly in their productivity. They benefit in attention and investment however, in their proximity to their markets and pre-existing pipeline transfer resources.

Methane as a byproduct of Coal Mining in western Colorado and eastern Utah
Making the effort to collect it results in income for the mining industry. Bottom line profit is almost never possible, though. Burning it greatly reduces the pollution effects. It turns out, however, that burning off, or flaring methane as it escapes the mine is seen as the most dangerous option, endangering the safety of the human miners.

Uranium mining in western Colorado and eastern Utah
Two companies are burrowing into the red bluffs and canyons of western Colorado and eastern Utah to dig out uranium and start the process of generating electricity.

Nuclear energy development on the Western Slope
The uranium potential is focused under the western Book Cliffs range north of I-70, principally in Utah. A brief look at a map will reveal that Grand Junction, Colorado is easily the biggest city anywhere near the area.
